The law 31 Decembers 1996 n. 675, bringing dispositions for the protection of the persons and other subjects regarding the treatment of the personal data have been repealed from 30 decree legislative june 2003 n. 196, that it has introduced, to make given from 1° January 2004, the new Code in matter of protection of the personal data. The Code establishes, in particular, than the interested subject it must preventively be informed with respect to I use of the data that regard it and that the treatment of personal data from part of the society that stops them it is admitted alone with the express consent of the subject interested but the cases previewed from the law.
